Privacy Policy
Effective 7 November 2026
The short version
- No account. We don't collect your name, email or anything you type.
- Your progress and settings are stored only on your phone.
- Co-op connects phones directly over local Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, never through a server.
- No ads, no analytics and no tracking.
This policy covers the Bugout Crew iPhone app and this website. Bugout Crew is made by Lexter Lavin ("we"). If you have a question, email scoozienavarro@gmail.com.
What stays on your phone
- Your game. Your cans, garage upgrades, unlocked and modded guns, open zones and settings are saved on your device. They are not sent to us. Deleting the app deletes them.
- Playing. The whole game runs on your phone. It doesn't need an account or an internet connection.
Playing together
Co-op uses Apple's peer-to-peer networking to find friends nearby on the same Wi-Fi or over Bluetooth. Game data goes directly between the phones in the crew, never through a server, and stops when the mission ends.
- Other players see only a random van name, such as "VAN 42". Your name and your phone's name aren't shared.
- iOS asks for permission to use the local network the first time you play together. You can change this in Settings › Privacy & Security › Local Network.
No ads, analytics or tracking
The app contains no advertising, analytics or tracking software, and it doesn't send anything to a server of ours. Nothing you do in the app is shared with us or with anyone else.
Purchases
Bugout Crew is bought once from the App Store, and purchases are handled entirely by Apple. We don't receive your payment details or Apple ID.
Children
Bugout Crew is a general-audience game. It is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date above. Significant changes will also be mentioned in the app's release notes.
